Friday, the Sierra Leone Government has banned this year's Christmas
and New Year's celebrations this year due to their battle with Ebola
virus spread in the country.
Head of the government's Ebola response unit, Palo Conteh, made the
announcement to reporters in the capital, Freetown.
Bars, nightclubs, and public meet-ups, have already been shut down
but this directive is the first to target working and loitering
outside.
"We will ensure that everybody remains at home to reflect on Ebola," he said.
Please reflect on the meaning and purpose of Christmas rather than ebola.
