What a site this must have been!
A hippopotamus being conveyed by a truck actually jumped through the
vehicle's window and landed on a parked car.
The hippo then rolled off the car to the road sustaining some
injuries; a broken leg and damage to its teeth.
An eye witness account of what happened according to the Times India:
The woman said she ran out of her house after hearing the crash and
thought she saw a "dinosaur" lying on the road!
Another was quoted as saying he saw a hippo "flying" through the
window of a truck.
According to Taiwanese authorities, the injured animal's owner could
face a fine of up to $2,400 for violating animal protection laws.
He also violated "human protection laws"!
