Seriously??
The host of an Indian singing competition show endured an ugly reality when a member of the audience allegedly slapped her during the show.
Bollywood actress, Gauhar Khan, was attacked Sunday on the set of "India's Raw Star" by a 24-year-old man who later told police he was offended by the TV personality's short skirt, the Hindustan Times reported.
Mohammed Akil Mallick, was pinned down by security guards in the studio before being turned over to police.
"There were over 2,500 people present at the venue with 250 bouncers," a witness told the newspaper. "Yet a 24-year-old guy in the crowd teased Khan and got into an argument with her.
"While he was being escorted out of the place, he managed to go up onstage and slapped her."
Video taken in the immediate aftermath of the attack show a crying Khan being consoled by a crew member.
A local police official told DNAIndia.com that an investigation was ongoing, but Mallick would likely face assault charges under the Indian Penal Code.
Reuters reported that Mallick told cops, "Being a Muslim woman, she shouldn't have worn such a short dress."
Khan, who has appeared in several Bollywood films, is a former model best known for winning "Big Boss" — India's version of "Big Brother" — last year.
