Bill Cosby Resigns From Temple University Board Of Trustees

77-year-old Cosby, has resigned from his seat on the Philadelphia college’s board of trustees Monday, just days before the board was to meet to discuss his status.

“I have always been proud of my association with Temple University,” Cosby said in a statement released Monday afternoon. “I have always wanted to do what would be in the best interest of the university and its students. As a result, I have tendered my resignation from the Temple University Board of Trustees.”

The university’s board immediately accepted his resignation and thanked him for his service, according to the school’s website.

The board had planned to meet “soon” to discuss Cosby’s seat on the panel and his continued connection to the university. The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9.

Cosby’s decision to bow out came after the Berklee School of Music in Boston and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst cut ties with him in November.

The legendary entertainer has been reeling from accusations by at least 20 women who claim he sexually assaulted them after drugging most of them in incidents dating back decades.

This isn't good at all...phew!
