Tameka Harris Opens Up On Changing Her Eye Color and The Procedure

Tameka Harris, 39, recently received iris implants to permanently change the color of her eyes from brown to ice gray.

When asked to comment on his wife’s latest surgery in a radio interview, T.I. politely deferred all questions to his wife.

In a recent interview, Tameka said her husband initially balked at her decision to change her eye color:

“He was like, ‘What are you doing?’ But he loves them. He’s OK with them as long as they’re healthy and I’m not having any problems.” 
Tameka responded to the sharp criticism about her decision to drastically change her eye color.
“I just wanted to do something different. And I have the right to do that. It’s my body,” she said.
The 15 minute procedure was performed at a clinic in the United States. That’s an interesting detail because iris implants for cosmetic purposes is banned in the U.S., which means Tameka’s implants were medically necessary.

Tameka's experience:

“They go into the eye and they make a little slit. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it and spread it over your eye. 
They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.”
