Solange Knowles and sister Beyonce missed their father's wedding last month in Houston, Texas, because they had previous engagements, father Mathew Knowles said.

Mathew, 61, married former model Gena Charmaine Avery, 48, June 30 he told Us Weekly.
"Unfortunately, Beyonce and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend," he said in a statement.
Mathew divorced the singers' mother, Tina Knowles, in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.
