A naked man and woman were arrested for having sex in public at The
Villages in Sumter County, the second outdoor coupling in little more
than three months, police said.
The woman was "lying on an electrical box with her legs spread open"
and the man was "fully naked exposing his penis" according to a
sheriff's reported posted on the Smoking Gun website.
Charm Gilbert, 40, and James Adams, 47, were copulating at an entrance
to The Villages, a giant retirement community inhabited by 55,000
people over the age of 55. It wasn't clear if the couple worked at the
complex or was visiting someone there.
In June, Margaret Ann Klemm, 68, and David Bobilya, 49, were arrested
for having sex in a public square at the community. Both pleaded
guilty to indecent exposure and were sentenced to six months in jail.
Gilbert and Adams were charged with indecent exposure and disturbing
the peace, and bail was set at $1,500.
After being ordered to get dressed, the man and woman told the
arresting officer they were having sex in public "due to them not
having any other place to go," the website said.
No other place to go? How does that make sense?
