While some are jumping to save others' lives, this woman jumped to end
hers. So sad:
According to Bangkok Post, a 65yr old depressed woman, Wanpen Inyai,
jumped into a pit of 1,000 crocodiles at Samut Prakarn crocodile farm
and zoo on Friday.
This farm has over 100,000 crocodiles and wild animals:
"Sunan Tharmnat, Wanpen's sister, told the Post the victim had been
depressed and did not talk to anyone for several days before she
disappeared.
She and family members went to file a missing-person's report with Rom
Klao police the day she went missing, but were told to wait 24 hours,
as required by law.
Witnesses claimed to see the woman intentionally jumped into the pond
while footage from a security camera confirmed she left her shoes on a
walkway before making the fatal jump.
The police investigator said when he arrived at the scene, farm owners
and staff were trying to use long sticks to ward off dozens of
crocodiles tearing at her body."
